    Let's get started

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, I am currently only offering telehealth via Secure Video, a HIPAA-compliant teleconferencing platform.

I use many techniques to help my clients. One of the most powerful therapies that I use is Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing or EMDR. EMDR is a technique used to help people deal with, reduce, and eliminate the impact of trauma in their lives. There is a great deal of information on my website about EMDR. This site also has information about other subjects which may be helpful to you.

I welcome clients from all walks of life. My methods are holistic and tailored to each client’s unique personality, to ensure they get the help needed. I will work with you to develop strategies in an effort to solve the issues you want to address. I have expertise helping those who suffer from:

There are many myths and misconceptions about what therapy actually is, what it entails, and what is or is not possible. The most common myths about therapy involve feelings of inadequacy or apprehension to the idea of “needing help” as a sign of weakness—nothing could be further from the truth! This list of therapy myths can help dissuade some of these false notions and help put you on the right track to a healthy and effective attitude toward therapy and our relationship. Of course, I am more than happy to help you work through these (or any other) misconceptions and better serve your needs.

If you want to take the first step on your road to wellness, please don’t hesitate to call me at 540-986-4234. Or, send a fax to (540) 659-3288. Alternatively, I encourage you to send me an email.

    Inspirational Quotes

“Perfectionism is a self destructive and addictive belief system that fuels this primary thought: If I look perfect, and do everything perfectly, I can avoid or minimise the painful feelings of shame, judgment, and blame.”

    Brene Brown

“Somehow we’ve come to equate success with not needing anyone. Many of us are willing to extend a helping hand, but we’re very reluctant to reach out for help when we need it ourselves. It’s as if we’ve divided the world into “those who offer help” and “those who need help.” The truth is that we are both.”

    Brene Brown

“Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.”
